The study, its results and implications were presented to the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, where it was approved and the decision to proceed with its implementation was taken by all concerned authorities in the Emirate of Dubai.
Challenges
On this occasion, His Highness referred to the challenges posed by climate change and to the UAE's strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, which was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the seventh of October.
